Juanes - Mala Gente
Mala gente, vas a pagarla caro
Mala gente, vas a pagarla caro
It's quite different when you read it, instead of hearing it, isn't it?

I'll give you something to read, listen and sing, ask dw for a translation ;)
Yo soy aquel muchacho.
Ya pasó la primavera con sus flores,
golondrina mensajera de mis sueños,
hoy te alejas y te llevas mis amores
Te has vuelto golondrina, te enloqueció el espacio,

Ghosts are everywhere. It is possible that you haven't realized this, because luckily, they have the gift of invisibility.
With time it gets worse; the older you are the more ghosts you have in your life. Death of age comes when you suddenly notice that those that you thought human, are just pale impressions from a previous life.
Don't be fooled by the new fashion; ghosts are to be feared. They are not human, they simply dwell around us (hopefully far away from us), they are the latent example of death. Never summon them, those who suffer in the afterlife, do it for a reason, don't meddle with their business.
There will be times when you'll be able to feel them behind the walls, or outside, looking at you through the windows of your bedroom. They may even be gentle and beautiful, yet don't answer their call, all they can give you is sorrow, and make you think about the past, instead of living the present or dreaming about the future, as a lively person should do.
Don't believe in their threats, for they do not belong here; they are nothing, just mere lost wandering souls trying to fix what has been lost forever long ago.
Remember son, and do by instinct what I do after years of suffered experiences: if you ever see a ghost, run for your life.

Hopefully next year more information will be made available to me, since I'll be in the School of Economics.
So, let's focus on teh pic.
Several things can be pointed out by looking at the graph:
- The 80s sucked, with the whole Malvinas and foundation of democracy. Actually, the stagnation starts in 1973, but I couldn't retrieve that data =(
- Menem's presidency did create a country that could have sustainable growth (1990-99), against of what many people think, he only had cyclical recession, like all the other kewl dudes (1995 Mexico)
- De la Rúa's an idiot (1999-2001), he destroyed the recovery (see last two quarters of 1999) from the cyclical recession, this time caused by the Brazilian devaluation .
- The "expensive dollar" policy (2002-today) has made the economy regain the growth tendency it had previous to the 2002 crisis, the economy is fully recovered and back in its tracks. That's why the rapid growth (8-9% annually) we've been having for the last 5 years, may hit a roof, and will continue (hopefully) at 1990's more stable growth rate. If we do our homework well, we'll be able keep up with the Chilean's GDP per capita, or get a little advantage if we're lucky to grow marginally faster and have a president with half a brain during recessions time.
That's it for now, I want to make a graph with GDP per capita, and another with the debt/GDP ratio, and others comparing Argentina with other countries, but we'll see.
If you have real questions, and if they're not too stupid, you're free to ask; I'll see if I can answer them.
And no, I'm not a jew. I'm a Catholic.

I have lots of things to do, but I don't want to

No vuelvas
no vuelvas sin razón
no vuelvas
No vuelvas
no vuelvas sin razón
no vuelvas
No vuelvas
no vuelvas sin razón
no vuelvas

- Poor countries have an uphill battle. How are they going to progress, if they depend on the developed world, if what they export is returned to them processed, and therefore, more expensive? And yet some of them manage to, some emerging markets actually are able to, well, emerge.
But is this independence fighting for? Wouldn't it be better if we just remained in this state of 21st century slavery? Maybe we should be happy of what we have now: the sun, the sky, the wind. Those things that will always remain with us. But that is mediocrity.
What can we do, then? Can we close our eyes and imagine that the world is not how it really is? That we are the ones with the power and the wealth, that we decide the fate of others, that we play with them like the tiny puppets they are? But that is insanity.
Uphill battles are most of the time impossible ones; a certain mentality is needed, one has to be able to think outside of the box. And plan. And wait, decades if necessary, progressing slowly, trying to be a bit better everyday, and trying to avoid the world crashes, because it is easy to lose in a year everything you've worked for in a decade. A step at a time, until the threshold of independence is crossed.
- Yes, you have to get used to the idea that's she's not coming back.

Title: Zarpale la lata
Genre: Cumbia villera
Si tu viejo es zapateeero
zarpale la lata
seh, seh,
¡Zarpale la lataaa!
¡Corré guachiiin!
¡Y las manitos ahí, y ahí, y ahí, y ahí, y ahiiiii!
¡Supermercado', Supermercado'!
Y ahora... ¡Suena el rococó!
¡Suena el rococó!
Saltó la ficha en el barrio,
todos los pibes me andan buscandoooo.
Ya se enteraron
que anoche me rastreé,
de la casa del zapateero,
una lata de pebecé.
A la lata, al latero
¡Se la saqué al zapatero!
Y ahora los pibes andamos viajando,
el que quiere que le convide,
que levantes la manos.
Supermercados, Supermercados!
Encontré la solución
al problema de la resaca,
me mantengo en la joda borracho
hasta las seis de la mañana.
Eh cuando pinta el sol
no' vamo' pa' la esquina
Bailando con los pibes
meta vino y porquerías
Andamos meta vino y porquerías
Otra vez cayó la noche
Otra vez no' vamo' a la esquiinaaa
¡Y las manitos ahí, y ahí, y ahí, y ahí, y ahiiiii!
¡Supermercado', Supermercado'!
¡Supermercado', Supermercado'!
Magical, just magical.
