If we had an edit post button I'd go back and edit all the posts that I made during debates and then I'd WIN ALL THE TIME! I'd have been like "thing X happened during Y" and someone would say "nah, it happened during Z", and then I'd edit my original post to make it say that X happened during Z and then I'd be all like "dude, I've been saying that X happened during Z all the time, what's wrong with you?"

Anyway, an edit button would be pretty easy to abuse. I tend to make at least one grammatical or perhaps even factual error in my average post, then I notice it when I reread my post after I've submitted it and I know, it blows, but I guess we've just got to live with it :/

Yeah, I guess you're right, the level of maturity of the forums doesn't allow us to have such a feature.
But why do you bring such a topic up, I never said anything about Edit post buttons...

yes, the Edit button would be abused :)
